HSE Trainer

Our client is delivering a major project in Karakalpakstan, Uzbekistan. The HSE Trainer plans, develops, coordinates and delivers all Health, Safety and Environmental training for employees, subcontractors and visitors, ensuring compliance with project requirements, client specifications, Uzbekistan legislation and international standards. The role promotes a proactive safety culture through competency development and awareness campaigns.

Training management

• Develop annual and monthly HSE training plans and the project training matrix
• Conduct HSE induction for all new employees, visitors and subcontractors
• Deliver mandatory, refresher and supervisor competency training
• Deliver specialised training including working at height, confined space entry, permit to work, LOTO, fire prevention and firefighting, manual handling, excavation safety, lifting operations, scaffold safety, electrical safety, defensive driving awareness, PPE management, environmental awareness, emergency response and heat stress prevention

Materials, assessment and reporting

• Develop bilingual training materials in English, Russian and Uzbek as required, including presentations, videos, posters and toolbox talks
• Conduct written and practical competency evaluations and recommend retraining
• Maintain training records, database, certificates and expiry tracking
• Prepare weekly and monthly training reports
• Organise HSE campaigns, Safety Day activities and weekly awareness sessions
• Participate in incident investigations, assist during audits and conduct site observations

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Environmental Science or a related discipline
• NEBOSH IGC, mandatory
• IOSH Managing Safely or Train the Trainer, preferred
• OSHA 30 Hour, certified First Aid Trainer and Fire Safety Trainer certification all preferred

Experience and skills

• Minimum 5 years of HSE training experience, including 3 years on EPC, industrial or construction projects
• Experience on multinational projects; renewable energy, oil and gas, infrastructure or heavy civil preferred
• Adult learning techniques, presentation and public speaking, report writing, MS Office
• Compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and client HSE management systems

Languages

English fluent. Russian and Uzbek preferred.
